Ruskin, Florida - Adults and teens are invited to join art instructor Patsy Monk for an interesting evening learning about pattern and repetition in drawing.

Monk is teaching the zentangle course on Monday, April 15 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at the SouthShore Regional Library which is located at 15816 Beth Shields Way in Ruskin.

Registration is required at either the SouthShore Regional Library Information Desk or by calling (813) 273-3652. 

The class is limited to 22 participants.

Riverview, Florida - Art educator Minnette Webster will craft dreamscapes while instructing students about Salvador Dali and his dreamlike filled paintings.

The class if free for children grades 1-4 and supplies will be provided.

It's being held at the Riverview Branch Library at 10509 Riverview Dr.  in Riverview on Saturday, February 23rd from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 in a.m.

Tampa, FL-- "One man's trash is another man's treasure."- that statement couldn't ring more true for students from 66 Hillsborough County schools next Tuesday, when they will compete in the 2nd Annual Re-Purposed Doodad Sculpture Competition.

Organizers say a total of 3,000 cigar boxes (left over after the actual cigars were donated to American Service members) will be transformed from "throw-aways" to "art" by students from all grades.

A jury of artists will judge the complete works and award various prizes, and even a summer art scholarship, to the winning students.
