Coming soon: 2011 Hillsborough County Neighborhoods Conference | Community Spirit
Tampa, Florida -- Leaders from more than 1,000 neighborhood, civic, homeowners, condominium and crime watch associations throughout Hillsborough County, Plant City, Tampa and Temple Terrace are invited to register for the 2011 Hillsborough County Neighborhoods Conference.
This year’s event will be held on Saturday, April 2 at the Hillsborough Community College’s Dale Mabry Campus from 8:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. The Neighborhoods Conference provides an opportunity to help citizens build a sense of community and make their neighborhoods safe, attractive and friendly.
The conference is also a great way for neighborhood leaders to network with each other and meet with local government officials and local businesses.
This year, there will be 24 new and exciting workshops to choose from which will interest everyone from Association Board Members to individual homeowners. Workshop topics include What you need to know about code enforcement; Learn to be water wise; Crime Prevention through environmental design; and Keep your neighborhood informed through social networking.
An exhibit area will give local government agencies and businesses the opportunity to present information and answer questions citizens may have about their services. In addition, the conference will include a luncheon featuring annual neighborhood recognition awards and remarks from Hillsborough County Commissioners.
Early registration fee is $15 and includes three workshops from the program, access to exhibit booths, breakfast, the awards ceremony and luncheon with door prizes. After March 23, registration fee increases to $20.
Registration forms can be obtained by calling the Hillsborough County Office of Neighborhood Relations at 307-3564 or visiting www.hillsboroughcounty.org/onr.
