Man robs gas station armed with shotgun | Crime

Gibsonton, Florida -- Authorities are searching for the man who robbed a Chevron gas station with a double barrel shotgun Sunday night.
The Hillsborough Sheriff's Office says around 6:15 p.m. the man entered the gas station in the 10900 block of U.S. Hwy 41 S in Gibsonton and shot a round from the shotgun into the ceiling and then pointed it at the clerk and demanded money.
The clerk gave the man money from the register and he fled on foot running east into the wooded area behind the business.
He is described as approximately 6 feet tall, 200 lbs., with a muscular build. He was last seen wearing a long sleeve shirt, a blue stocking over his head and face, a black "doo rag", latex gloves, light colored slacks and black sneakers with white soles.
Anyone with any information regarding the identity of the suspect is asked to call the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office as 813-247-8200.
