Hillsborough County, Florida -- Take advantage of the many parks of Hillsborough County and sign you child up for County Park Summer Camp!

Registration is now open for camps that will run from June 17 to August 9. The cost for traditional day camps, per two-week sessions is $76 and income-based discounts are available.

Ruskin, Florida - Kids can take their bedtime bath and talk their parents into taking them to the Ruskin library for their bedtime story this Thursday, May 16 from 7 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Organizers say there will be stories, action rhymes, songs, interactive activities, and crafts during the 30-minute program that celebrates a love of reading.

Children are encouraged to wear pajamas and bring a blanket and their favorite cuddly toy.

Hillsborough County Libraries celebrating National Pet Week

Hillsborough County, Florida-- National Pet Week at the libraries this week. Several branches have festivities planned.

In celebration of National Pet Week, also known as Be Kind To Animals Week, May 5 - 12, Hillsborough County Animal Services is partnering with Hillsborough County Public Library Cooperative for an adult lecture series called Save A Life - Foster A Shelter Pet.

Discover the Dinosaurs roars into Tampa!

Tampa, Florida-- Tyrannosaurus Rex to come to Tampa?! That's right, and he won't be alone as the Florida State Fairgrounds hosts T-Rex, and up to 60 other animatronic and museum quality dino replicas at the upcoming "Discover the Dinosaurs" event.

The event takes place April 12, 13 and 14 in the Fairgrounds Expo Hall.

"Exhibit only admission" will allow Tampa locals to get up close and personal with our prehistoric pals during these dino-mite activities:

Free swim clinics for Swim Across America participants!

Hillsborough County, Florida - Registration for the 2013 Swim Across America Tampa Bay (SAA) event allows access to free two-hour swim clinics being held at Tampa area YMCA locations.

In addition, those registered for the big event will also be given free access to the pool of all YMCA locations within Hillsborough County (proof of 2013 SAA Tampa Bay registration and a driver's license/ID is required).

This promotion will expire on Friday, May 17, 2013.
