Hillsborough County Martin Luther King Junior Day closings

Hillsborough Co., FL-- Monday is Martin Luther King Jr. Day and the county has provided a list of facilities that will close in observance of the holiday:

The majority of Hillsborough County offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, Jan. 21, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. federal holiday.
Closed facilities include the administrative offices of County government, neighborhood service centers, all libraries, all County-operated Head Start/Early Head Start Centers, recreation centers, senior centers and nutrition sites.

Fern Family Farm to give away free quarts of strawberries this weekend

Riverview, FL-- The Fern Family Farms in Riverview will give out free quarts of strawberries to the public this Saturday and Sunday.

The farm's building is still under construction, but to ensure the berries don't go to waste, they're allowing anyone and everyone to pick up a free quart between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. both days this weekend.

Any additional berries after the free quart will be available at 50% off!

Shop Small Business Saturday And Support Local Businesses In A Big Way

Hillsborough Co., FL-- Hillsborough County’s Small Business Information Center (SBIC) is urging holiday shoppers to support local, independently-owned businesses on Saturday, Nov. 24 - the annual Small Business Saturday holiday shopping event.

Small Business Saturday, sponsored by American Express, is always sandwiched between Black Friday and Cyber Monday. While those two shopping days feature big retail and online shopping, Small Business Saturday is designed to encourage holiday shoppers to support locally-owned stores.

A tatse of Sam's Club: Sample holiday menu options near you!

With the holidays just around the corner, many of us are scrambling for great recipes to top our tables this season, and Sam's Club is here to help!

According to a release sent out Friday, Sam's will host 'A Taste of Sam's Club' from November 16 through November 18 from noon to 5 p.m.- where they say customers may "try before you buy."
