FishHawk, Florida -- The 16th Annual Road Race at Park Square comes to FishHawk Ranch on Saturday, March 9.

Schedule:

• Kids Race Starts: 5 p.m.
• 5K Starts: 5:30 p.m.

Registration Fees:

• 5K: $25 early, $30 day-of-race
• Kids Race: $15
• Race shirts guaranteed for first 500 adults and 100 kids.
• Race Packets available for pickup Friday, March 8, from 1 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Hit The Trails (13433 FishHawk Blvd).

Awards:

Carrollwood, Florida - Residents in Hillsborough County may not know that canoe rentals are available in many county parks. 

Four-hour rentals are offered at $25. Park entry fees will also apply at $2 per vehicle carrying up to eight people, and $1 each additional person. Only cash, check and traveler's check payments are accepted at this time.

Alderman's Ford Regional Park, 9625 Canoe Launch Loop in Lithia, is the seventh Hillsborough County Park to offer canoe and kayak rentals.

Riverview, Florida - A competitive youth soccer tournament is being held on today, Friday October 12, Saturday October 13 and Sunday October 14 from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. for teams from all over Florida (mainly the Tampa Bay Area).

Organizers say the tournament will host approximately 80 teams. Team members will be from the ages of 8 to 15, and about 1,000 kids will take part.

Prizes will be awarded for the most original,creative, funniest, scariest, and best overall team costumes in honor of Halloween.
